A. Kanan is a student who attends the Bindu Art School in Chennai, India – an institution that, since 2005, has given people with leprosy the opportunity to express themselves through their paintings, providing them lessons where technique, colour theory and notions of perspective are taught. In addition, it shows the students work through promotional events, allowing them to obtain financial help. A. Kanan contracted Leprosy at the age of twelve. Since he started attending Bindu Art School, he has devoted himself completely to painting. In the beginning, he used only one colour, but now he uses various mixtures of red, green, yellow, orange and his favourite colour, blue.
