Fassianos, Alekos

Greece, 1935 - 2022

Born in Athens in 1935, Alekos Fassianos studied at the School of Fine Arts of Athens from 1956 to 1960. In 1962 he immigrated to Paris with a scholarship to study Lithography. Numerous aspects of his work are related to the iconography of Greek culture: the delicateness and sensuality of the figures, the linearity and two-dimensionality of the compositions, and the sceneries and motifs that emphasise the connection between Man and Nature.
