Seguí, Antonio

Argentina, 1934 - 2022

Antonio Seguí studied painting in Buenos Aires, Madrid and Paris. In 1963, he moved to Paris, where he lived and worked up until his death. Earlier in his career, influenced by artists such as George Grosz and Otto Dix, he practiced an expressionist and ironic figuration. His figuration evolved slowly towards the absurd, by building a kind of theatre in which man searches for his place in the world.
