On the occasion for the tenth anniversary of Centro de Arte Oliva and celebrating the centenaries of portuguese artist Mário de Cesariny, in 2023, and André Breton’s “First Surrealist Manifesto”, in 2024, the exhibition A Revolução na Noite explores surrealism and the influence of its ideas and echoes over time through the works of three Art Collections based in Portugal: the Millennium BCP Foundation Collection, as well as the collections of Modern and Contemporary Art Norlinda and José Lima and Art Brut and Outsider Art Treger Saint Silvestre, both on long term loan at the Centro de Arte Oliva.
